Mom's homemade ice cream

Does it get any better than this? I think not.


4 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp vanilla
1 pint whipping cream (30%)
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 quarts milk
1/4 tsp salt


Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze as directed.


**To make chocolate chip mint, omit vanilla and add 1 Tbsp mint extract, a few drops green food coloring and 1 cup chocolate chips.

Question... does the (30%) after the whipping cream mean only 30% of the container? Just wondering! :)

Good question - it's 30% fat whipping cream. Light cream is 15%...but who wants light ice cream? ;)
